THE STATE OF OUR EDUCATION « The Burning Platform

Gayle, no it’s not. It’s not helping, but the reason the US will soon be unrecognizable is because of US capitulation of fiscal responsibility going back to the founding of the country in some regards, but primarily with the FRA of 1913, which wouldn’t have been possible without the War of Northern Agression and leading to the first Great Depression. POTUS’s have been assassinated over it.

The current system is statistically unsustainable in domestic terms. In global terms, SHTF is going to occur sooner, because the rest of the world is not going to submit to US hegemony, which is what is required for the US dollar to remain the world’s reserve currency. The US is powerful, but not all powerful. When the $ falls, TPTB are first and foremost concerned about maintaining status quo, hence the build up of a domestic police state and nationalization of the country’s health care system.

That the national education system is a failure is not the fault of the students. It’s their parents fault, who were the first generation plopped down in front of a TV set and subjected to mass media along the lines of North Korea or Nazi Germany.

Personal responsibility is one thing, but apparently the state exists to provide jobs to teachers and other government drones. That is what is going to change, or there will be a second civil war, unless we are to accept a totalitarian police state. There may not even be a shot fired when the $ crashes and interest rates wreck the economy overnight.

Will the sun come up in the morning? Of course, but the devil is still the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

THE STUDENT LOAN BUBBLE « The Burning Platform

IraK, lets’ put things in cultural perspective. The last time there was this much discontent in the country, it was the boomers who were 20 something. The 1960′s were a time that anyone will tell you nearly tore the social fabric of our country apart.

Now, you and LL and telling everyone, that’s the way it is. Not good enough. What the fuck do thing the Tea Party and OWS are all about?

I will endeavour to refrain from using the perfectly good english word “fuck” in every post, but for fuck’s sake, what the fuck?

IraK, again, in perspective, it was the boomers who abandoned the ideals for which they were protesting. The SYSTEM which you espouse so highly, is going to fail, it’s a statistical certainty. Where the fuck do you get off telling anyone to accept it? It’s malicious negligence to do so. Where are your ideals, oh yeah, you sold out.

And, LL, who said tax the rich. I think you’re paranoid. Besides, it wouldn’t matter, doesn’t cover the gap. My concern is, after the dust has settled, their will be two systems, one outside the green zones, and one inside.

Revelations talks about such a thing, but it’s established by God Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and all that is in them, and not by the rulers of this world. Not that it will stop them from trying.

The best bet is to get right with God, accept Jesus as Lord, and believe god raised him from the dead. Then you will have eternal life, which cannot be taken away, and buckle up because it’s about to get real. You have nothing to lose.

“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 ESV)

anon, are you brain dead. Obummer doesn’t control anything, nor has any POTUS beginning with Reagan.

LBJ, now there’s a POTUS who was in control. Just ask Jackie.

I read something recently that discussed how Reagan didn’t want Bush as a running mate, but it was decided for him, so the feds would have an inside man in the WH.

Look at who Bush II had in his administration, same deal. Clinton had Hillary. If Gore had won, we would have had HillaryCare a decade sooner.

It’s unconscionable the way this country is being run. Even they know the ship is going down, what is not known is how deep. How bad is it going to be, and who is going to be in control. Whether we become a police state, or one of individual freedom.

Obummer has pulled out all the stops in the media campaign for the ACA, has already conceded the mid-terms, and is fighting for the survival of his next two years in office.

The repubs will allow things to descend into chaos, but only to a certain extent, so the pieces aren’t too hard to pick up in 2016.

Above all, the only thing either side cares about is being in control. The 4th branch of government, the federal bureaucracy doesn’t care who’s in control as long as their budgets increase at least as much as the real rate of inflation.

LL mentioned we have 3 years of Obummer to reach $20T in debt, and the destruction of our health care system. I wonder if he and AWD thing the repubs are the answer.

I vote repub, and I supported Ron Paul. The tea party has the answers, but spending and cut taxes to allow private business to invest. Americans don’t want that kind of change, so we get a welfare state. It will fail, so the question remains what takes it’s place. I say kick out the career pols and crats. I see it in state government, and I know it exists in the federal.

Geopolitics is at a stalemate over Iran, which can continue for decades. Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine could easily ignite a hot war in the middle east, and once that starts, there’s no telling where it will end.

I think peace starts by recognizing the failure of the state, by abdicating it’s fiscal responsibility. Kick out the bankers at the fed, and let’s begin by restoring our own house.

IT’S WORSE THAN YOU THOUGHT « The Burning Platform

How many Basichs are out there with how many $M in claims? This should keep the courts busy for years. At least until the collapse, and the insurance companies will be sitting pretty, having diversified their investments across the strata. Why isn't investment income used to lower insurance premiums?

No one will argue the system could be tweaked to work for everyone, and no one will argue it has been tweaked to work only for the elite, and the FSA, depending on how far you want to take the analogy.

Where the break down occurs is when the elite assume they can act with impunity, and their will be no consequences. When exploitation of the earth's resources has reached it's zenith, what then?

"As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;

we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:36-37 ESV)

Given a choice, I will take my chances with the Lord God Almighty, and in the power of his might. Tough choice, right. It's easy when you have nothing to lose. It's tougher when you're in a position of power and you have a difficult decision to make between right and wrong. At least Edward Snowden, and PFC Bradley Manning made the right decisions.

ClubOrlov: Is anyone really in control in Ukraine?

Dimitri, thank you for continuing to follow and post about the unfolding developments in the Ukraine.

I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment the people of the Ukraine will be best served by a government which supports their individual and collective cultures.

The super powers on both sides will have to be restrained to allow this restructuring to occur.  Each of the regions should elect a delegation to effect this change as quickly as possible and without external interference, while recognizing the value of their region to both Russia and Europe.

The issues causing conflict in the Ukrainian are the same as those in Iran, control over the transport of energy resources. This can and should work to the advantage of the Ukrainian people for self determination.

Working on the New American Bread Line « The Burning Platform

I like the steam room at the Y, which I'm sure will gender all kinds of remarks. Maybe not, since it seems like I'm also everyone's kill list.

I'll consider myself in good company :)

Oh, saw the Devil last night in a half sleep state. Been reading about the Illuminati, the etymology of which is from the same root as Lucifer, and lunar, the moon. His was the face of the moon, but with a long drooping nose, so that while he was attempting to put on a enlightened, face and he was being worshiped, his appearance was an embarrassment to himself and his worshipers slunk away. His expression alternated between drawing himself up to look proud, and looking sheepish and embarrassed of his appearance.

The word of God is like turning the light on in the kitchen. The cockroaches scatter.

Maybe it was something I ate. We ate at a Chinese hibachi buffet last night. A bit on the expensive side, but it was good. There's no telling what was in the food, maybe some irradiated shrimp.

Anyway, cheers, and we'll see you on the flip side!

THE FACE OF TYRANNY « The Burning Platform

Since it's come up, and with the information made freely available on the Internet, there are a couple of points to make. First of all, don't you know the cold warriors are having viagra hard ons that have lasted more than 8 hours. Secondly, it's painfully obvious to anyone who's been paying attention that the US and the EU didn't like the direction the democratically elected government was taking with respect to Putin government, and pulled out all the stops to reverse direction.

The Russian minority in the Western Ukraine want a government aligned with Russia, the Ukraine majority in eastern Ukraine want a government aligned with the EU, and both Russia and the EU simply want to control the flow of gas through the Ukraine.

If there has ever been a perfect time in history to form a geographical boundary between cultural disparate populations, and allow each the autonomy to control their own political and economic destiny, this is it. Neither the US and EU, nor Russia dare mention dividing the country, since it's easier to control with one political system. Hence, too, the push for one world government, one which would hand over control of the entire world's resources to the one worlders as spoil, at least that which isn't controlled by them already, and it takes an ever burgeoning bureaucracy to manage such things, as witnessed in the EU.

Which makes it all the more critical for the Ukrainians to fight for their independence from Russia and the West. Maybe the banksters will loan them the money to fight against future revenues driven by pipelines passing through their country. Isn't that how we got here?

The silver lining may be there aren't any muslim extremists in their country, yet, threatening to blow everything up. If they're smart, after kicking out the Russians and the West, they'll keep the rag heads out. If they do that, nobodies going to want to take them on anyway.

We are at a crossroad of human civilization, and this is but one of the many battles that will be played out as freedom faces tyranny. It's thrilling to be alive and to be a witness to the spectacle of the most powerful entities on the planet exposing their hand, which would not be possible without the freedom of information which the Internet provides. I don't know the Ukrainian people, but they seem to be as modern as anyone in Russia, and they've come a long way since the break up of the Soviet Union.

Maybe someday the same can be said of the West after the collapse of the almighty dollar.

BOOMERS STILL SCREWING MILLENNIALS « The Burning Platform

Stuckmeister can't help but criticize anyone younger than himself. After all it was his generation which coined the phrase, "I used to not trust anyone over 30, now I don't trust anyone under $30k per year."

The boomers were the first stupefied generation whose living rooms were filled with post WWII mass propoganda in the 50's. No wonder they hate the younger generation, when they reflect upon all of the lost opportunity their lives have engendered.

I still don't think this is the root of the issue. There's a conspiracy underfoot, and it's spiritual, not physical. If one wants to know the truth of a matter, one need only look to the source of truth, God's Word. Then there is a standard by which to judge all, and to ascertain that which is right, and good, and pure, and that which is not.

Generational conflict is merely a distraction to that which is real, an all out war between the forces of good and evil, with one's eternal life in the balance.

BOOMERS STILL SCREWING MILLENNIALS « The Burning Platform

Gayle says, "I’m not defending the lopsided access to the workplace that Boomers enjoy. But somebody makes the decision that they are a better investment for an employer."

Wrong! It's only that the support system which emerged when the economy expanded horizontally to hire all those not so educated and not so well trained individuals still exists.

Civil servants, at least in the great state from whence I hail, are refusing to retire after 30 years of never experiencing a recession, and a guaranteed income for the rest of their lives. Why? Because it means a 40 percent reduction in their take home. That's right, they retire with only 60% of their full time salaries. A $20B budget, 90% of it is salaries, and retirement eligible won't retire because it isn't in their best interest. It's would be in the best interest of the taxpayers if they were forced to retire, and hire younger workers. As it is, 80% of the state workers will retire within 5 years. Who said boomers can't do math?

There's going to be a 4T, if only because of the incredibly asinine and narcissistic mindset of the boomers.

MY TWILIGHT YEARS « The Burning Platform

Zara's ignorance strikes again. He was talking about Reagan!

Either that, or he's the biggest hypocrite on the face of the earth. That the people of this nation listened to Reagan, heard his propaganda, saw the results of this actions, and then voted for him, twice, get the government they deserve.

I just don't like being lied to. I suppose some people do.

You're a fool, Z, for singling out one single POTUS since Carter, as they have each been progressively worse. However, the game is about to change, we just don't know how, but go ahead with your ignorance.

The bankers would have a one world currency, which they control, although they may have to play one country against another, with their basket of SDR's. Unsustainable debt, debt which sovereign countries assumed while the oligarchy got rich, instead of default, has given rise to the biggest debt bubble the world has ever seen. Will it go pop is the question.

It's not about one fool in the WH, or one jackass on TBP. What's tomorrow, Chuch Norris jokes?
