Many things are a function of population density, or any number of factors. "A deception of epic proportions" has already been achieved in the results of the most recent presidential election. If MS is referring to the appearance of the anti-Christ in fulfillment of scripture, the book of revelation is difficult to discern.
In looking over the revelation of John, he is told in chapter 4, verse 1, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this."
Tribulation is the greek word, θλίψει (thlipsei), which simply means persecution. Revelation 1:9 (ESV), "I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus". The church has been experiencing tribulation since the day of pentecost in the book of acts.
If the first beast of Revelation 13 is the roman empire, then the second beast could be the United States, in verse 13, "It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people" and verses 16 - 17 "Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name."
The United States dropped an atomic weapon on Hiroshoma, Japan on August 6, 1945 and on Nagasaki on August 9, 1945. We haven't seen the mark, yet, "that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark" but that is the direction we're headed with a cashless society and great reset.
Babylon, then, is the beast system, the new, old, satanic world order made up of a variety of criminal organizations including the deep state, et al. It is the fall of Babylon, the great city, in Revelation 18 that ushers in the marriage supper of Revelation 19 and the thousand year reign of Christ in Revelation 20. Revelation 21 is a new heaven and new earth, Revelation 22 is the river of life, and the biblios, scroll, concludes in verses 20 - 21 (ESV),
He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

There is no mystery, only the timing of the return of the Lord in the air to begin his thousand year reign after the destruction of the world system. The mystery revealed is the miracle of the new birth in Christ, Romans 10:9 (ESV) "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
