The Financial Apocalypse Accelerates As Middle East Stocks Crash To Begin The Week

Claudia, first of all, the veracity and authenticity of god's word is as good as it gets, barring some new discovery of ancient texts. God's word is the greatest gift God has given to man. It was first written in the stars, from whence we get the twelve constellations, for each one of the tribes of Israel, and the five visible planets. During the Roman persecutions, whole books of the bible were memorized and these individual scribes then travelled and wrote verbatim what they had memorized. It wasn't up to the emperor what was written.

Secondly, and regarding proof,

"Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29 ESV)

"But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— (1 Corinthians 2:9 ESV)

Regardless of whether you believe the truth of god's word, you're casting a wide net in your skepticism, and assume much regarding whether someone is brainwashed. I could say the same and ask who taught you there is no god, but I already know the answer, it's the god of this world, as I stated previously.

Logically, then, if there is a supernatural ruler of this world, and the arch enemy of the one true god, it only makes sense that he would refute the truth and do everything in his power so that no one would believe.

On the other hand, if there is no god, and no devil, then it should be enough for good people to do the right thing. However, that is not what we're seeing. Psychopaths in high places have put a system in place that is increasing wealth and income disparity at levels never seen before.

We could discuss the nature of man, but that get's into endless discussion. I prefer to keep things simple, and believe the truth.

"but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." (1 Corinthians 1:23-24 ESV)

The history of man is one of conquest and man's rising up against oppression. One can study places and events, but one will never know why things happen the way they do, without a thorough knowledge of the truth of God's word, the standard against which all else is judged, otherwise, everything is relative, and moral relativism is what allows man to justify doing evil.

Let's pray there is a god, because without him, we're stuck in the stone age for all time, tribe warring against tribe. I for one, refuse to follow after men, and follow the savior from sin, the man, Jesus Christ.

You decide who to follow.

The research is inconclusive, which I checked before replying to you. The point is not who is more christian. I think a point can be made the US is the largest sponsor of terrorism in the world. Recent examples include Hillary's overthrow of a democratically elected government in Guatemala, resulting in the humanitarian refugee crisis in Latin America, Obama's overthrow of a democratically elected government in Ukraine, the Gulf Wars, Libya, and the proxy war with Russia in Syria.

There are Christians in China and North Korea, but it's outlawed. The point I was trying to make to make is Communists are godless. Technically, I suppose you're correct, for the wrong reason. Communism collapsed in Russia, which outlawed religion. If Putin reversed the state position on religion, that's all fine and good, it's still a thugocracy.

It's irrelevant what governments do, as a case can be made the US is the most godless when looked at from a spiritual perspective. Waging war is not godlike, and since Reagan, the US has pursued an imperialist war agenda.

The point is, this country was founded on a principle of religious freedom, not freedom from religion. There are some who make a religion of being anti christian. Christians and Christianity are under attack worldwide, while Islamists are being coddled.

Did you know the assailant who ambushed the police officer in Philadelphia has pledged allegiance to Islam?

I've made this point on here before, anyone pointing a finger at Christians as the cause of wars and bloodshed is only a useful idiot at best, and an agent of Satan at the core of the argument.

Thanks for the correction about Russia, and I'll counter that the comparison the US is irrelevant. Again, the point isn't about governments, it's about the people. Governments, I think, are inherently evil, a fact about which the founding fathers were all too keenly aware. It's only a shame that in this country how far we are removed from those originating principles, a matter that was not without controversy then, nor will it be as the nation navigates through these singularly troublesome geopolitical and economic times.

It would be enough to live in peace and prosper, however, it also appears that the hand of those who would profit off of another's labor needs to be checked from time to time, unless you don't value your freedom. Freedom, which, by the way, is God given, and not provided by man.
Innocent people are put to death now and our system is not perfect. I just want those that are tried, sentenced and put to death with our current system broadcast on TV as they take their last breath.

prcguy
You're not God, nor should you pretend you are. It is not within your power to give or take life, that authority is reserved for the Almighty.

Frankly, I'm offended and insulted by your cavalier attitude toward the most precious thing on earth, life.

"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28 ESV)

Without a knowledge of the truth of god's word, it's not possible to have good judgement. God's word is the standard against which all is judged. We don't live in the OT where people are put to death by stoning. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate penalty for our sins, and nothing else will wipe them away. If you refuse to acknowledge God, then you also have no business stating your cowardly opinion about what you think the state should be doing in response to violent crimes. There's far more insidiousness occurring right now that should have you righteously angry, most of it in the name Islam, but there's plenty of godlessness to go around.

If you refuse to believe God, then the least you can do is thank those of us who do, which is the only thing preventing the Devil from acting without restraint. Trust me when I say that capital punishment should be the least of your concerns. It's enough that these people are taken off the street, for which all us owe our gratitude to those who serve and protect.
