MOTHER, SHOULD I TRUST THE GOVERNMENT? « The Burning Platform

Flash, you can add the $23.7 T to the over $200 T in unfunded entitlements the US faces over the next generation or so. Does anyone know the time span of these entitlement calculations, is it 2050? I know within the next 20 years is when the wheels come off, that debt overtakes the ability to pay even the interest on it.

The current system of corruption is in a tizzy, each oligarch trying to out do the other in looting the national treasury.

My solution is easy, go over the cliff and vote against raising the debt ceiling. Then we can discuss how to "invest" revenue. Take back the printing presses from the fed, print $16T and pay off the national debt, Tell the rentier capitalists "thank you, not so very much". Reform entitlements, potentially nationalizing all pensions and retirement accounts and put everyone, including the USCON on medicare. Pass a balanced budget amendment to the constitution with a super majority required to pass any increase in taxes.

Ron Paul would have gone a long way toward bringing fiscal reform to the federal government. The american people want none of it, they are comfortably numb.
