Flash, there's plenty of discussion about what gun confiscation means, there may be token attempts to that end, but it's logistically damn near impossible.

Look at the collapse of any post modern society, lead is more valuable than gold. There's no way any self respecting individual will comply with illegal orders to surrender arms.

If what you say is true, that we're in free fall and there's nothing to do except hit the ground, you still haven't addressed what happens next. Presumably, as Herr Stuck has surmised, the sun will rise on a new day.

Not to neglect the spiritual aspect,

"The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne." Revelation 3:21 (ESV)

And not to leave any room for interpretation,

"Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?" 1 John 5:5 (ESV)

So, it is belief in God's Word which conquers and will conquer. It is God's Word which Satan is intent on destroying, by any means available, including destroying the greatest nation the world has ever seen, and should be resisted at every turn.

So, Flash, is all hope lost? Nay, hope is not lost. It rests in the eternal God.
