While I can see the opinion expressed by David Cloud is rather widely accepted, allow me to present a minority view. The doctrine of the trinity is a lie.
While we're on the subject, so are spring fertility rites for Easter, observance of the winter solstice as christ's mass, sunday worship and any number of compromises with paganism in 3rd century Rome to establish a state religion.
It's only a shame so many will believe so cunning a deception. Actually, it's not all that cunning. However, it is understandable that it would persist up to the reformation. With the accuracy of the translations of the bible today as good as it's going to get, barring discovery of any new texts, it's up to the student of the word to rightly divide it.
I don't intend to debate the matter, and don't care to, except to say I will pray for all of you. You're going to need it. That is not to say belief or disbelief in the trinity is a matter of salvation, only that men and women of God are going to need all the help we can get in the coming months and years.
Yes, I've already been told I'm going to hell for what I believe. Another lie. God bless you all in the powerful name of our Risen Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

The Police Union's Irresponsible Reaction To Shooting Of Two NYPD Officers | naked capitalism
When you say, comments go to hell, do you mean, not to your liking?
Had to ask. I would think someone in your position is quite far removed from the facts which most of us live by everyday. We're the victims of the vampire squid banks. I realize maybe your returns aren't as high as they could be, but middle class america is losing their fight and with negative returns. How long would you be able to stay in business. How long would you? The revolution which needs to occur in this country isn't class or racial, it's against those who would seek to put man in perpetual servitude. How bad does it have to get before a universal awareness dawns. I suppose we're going to find out.
Oh, and I don't see gun control as working to anyone's advantage except the oppressors.

I'm sorry you missed the connection, yes, the Guerrilla Black Family and the Black Panthers are sister organizations, which openly advocate the overthrow of civilized society. A member of this gang "executes", not my choice of words, two police officers after Blasio goes on national television proclaiming there are "centuries" of injustice which need to be addressed. The gangs, not wanting any crisis to go to waste, send a soldier to murder two cops, proclaiming two of theirs for every one of ours.
There should be an uproar, and the residents of NYC will get the society they deserve. The rest of us, dealing with random acts of retaliatory violence, know how to deal with thugs. Violence is inexcusable in any context, and the right of self defense is an inalienable right granted by our creator.
Honestly, I haven't read the police union's statement in the same context as Ford, however, he has an agenda, no pun intended, and I don't see it that way. To say there's a wedge between Blasio and law enforcement would be an understatement and one that existed before this incident. I don't think Ford would defend this declaration of war against law enforcement, or perhaps he does. How, then, can any of you defend him?
Do any of you defend those actions? If so, you have my pity.
That law enforcement can be redirected in less confrontational postures is not under debate. Blasio is merely pandering to his constituency, while ignoring the realities of the office to which he's sworn.

That and a left winger who won't let any crisis go to waste.
The cop executioner was an islam extremist and a gang member of the Guerrilla Black Family, which has ties to the Weather Underground and Bill Ayers. Facts which Mr. Ford conveniently overlooks in his hyperbolic attempt to direct the public discussion. Michael Snyder as a much less ideological analysis of what we're seeing nationally at http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/archives/war-streets-america, not just in NYC, where Blasio has already established he's a liberal goonie.
Let's talk about violent crimes committed by blacks, shall we? I'll sum it up for you, thuggery is a culture, one with consequences.

Peter Temin: Lessons From the Great Depression | naked capitalism
Ahh, so national debts don’t matter and social safety nets are sacrosanct, when what needs to happen is public pensions need to be reduced.
There are too many things that can and will go wrong that will overwhelm the sentiment expressed in this video.
Where to start naming them, where to start? Maybe with $200T in unfunded federal liabilities, or the derivatives bubble. One can only wonder how the Professor Emeritus might respond to these issues, which put in context render the safety net rather insignificant. Paying people not to work surprisingly results in the low employment rates we’re experiencing today, never mind the fact that multinationals have an escape clause for murder being beholden to the interest of the the stock holder. It’s quite the legal safety net, albeit morally and ethically bankrupt and bereft of human compassion.
Let’s deal with the real issues of exporting our jobs to a police state employing slave labor, than worrying about safety nets. When people work, they can care for themselves and don’t need a net.

The Conscience of a Moderate Washington's Blog
One more Insider suddenly gets a conscience and writes a book to cash in on their career. I suppose it would be helpful to know the causes of why the reactionary policies of an Imperial federal government have all failed, except they didn't. Carter was the last best POTUS this country has had, unless you're a neocon. Maybe that's George's problem with Speth, he worked for a peanut farmer from the South.
I'm with George all the way with being anti-war, except war sometimes comes to you. I'm not a pacifist, and I believe on of the legitimate roles of government is securing the peace. The difficulty in this regard as in most things political, is how to achieve it.
It's obvious what works and what doesn't. What is missing is the will to fix what doesn't, and arrive at a consensus over what priority problems should be addressed.
The US federal government is the most powerful force in the world. To what end will it be used, and the proof appears to be the expansion of global dictates. Reagan began an Imperialist expansion, which has seen countless lives being lost, and to what end? Ongoing wars in Syria and Ukraine over energy and the loss of individual freedom. What's next? A continuing struggle for every last natural resource on the planet. There's no need to fight over the fisheries, because the ocean's are dying. Food crises will continue foment unrest in importing countries.
The thirteen hundred year struggle against the spread of Islam, depending on which side you're own, may be the greatest current threat to world peace. As I stated, sometimes war finds you, and these globalists, notably China, Russia, and the US, and the internationalists, notably the financiers, are unwilling to cede on any matter.
Would George be willing to cede that it is the internationalists that are at the center of the current struggles over energy, and behind the rise of ISIS?
The devil isn't going to announce his plans for anyone to see, but anyone who can see, recognizes his handiwork.
How then, does one overcome this pestilence and blight on the whole of mankind? How, indeed!

Why prepping is pointless. Why you, the meek, won't survive.
I rented a decent movie from Redbox yesterday, Noah, starring Russel Crowe. The plot is basically the same thing you're describing, and of course, it's biblically based.
So, biblically speaking, Noah was the only righteous person left on the face of the earth, and for the sake of one righteous person, through him, God spared the human race.
Could society go full blown zombie apocalyptic in a SHTF grid down scenario? Sure, and I don't keep all of my preps in one location. Life is not without risk, and I would respectfully suggest that one not neglect the most important prep of all, spiritual.
We can't plan for everything, but we can put our faith and trust in God Almighty, the God and Father of the Lord, Jesus Christ, Creator of Heaven and Earth and all that is in them, and who is able to save to the utmost.
Who among us wouldn't do things differently if we had a do over?
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)
I'll hang on to my preps, and continue to add to them. Whatever happens, I know I've done my best, and that includes not being a door mat for the zombie horde. If everyone prepped, it would facilitate forming communities post SHTF, which offers the best opportunity for long term survival. Those who haven't prepped are going to find it tough going, but the worst case scenario is going to be mind numbing difficult for anyone, since modern societies just aren't prepared to revert to 19th century agrarian practices. Bottom line for me, believe God.
"Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." (Matthew 10:16 ESV)
If you don't believe the truth of God's word, that's OK. You can still be thankful for those of us who do, remember Noah.
"And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short." (Matthew 24:22 ESV)
You might even take this opportunity to save yourself,
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." (Romans 10:9-10 ESV)
I've been giving some thought to starting a Sunday morning prayer net. It would be awesome to use the technology to bring the Word of God to the amateur radio community, starting on one of the local repeaters, and eventually adding another net on HF.
Anyway, thanks for the opportunity to share a little bit about why I prep. It's doing my utmost for his highest. God bless and god speed.

A BRUISED EGO CAN BE A GOOD THING « The Burning Platform
Maybe, the Scots will secede from UK, and the yuan will replace the pound. Then there's this,
http://www.forbes.com/sites/timworstall/2014/09/14/uk-to-be-first-non-china-state-to-issue-renminbi-bond/
The UK wouldn't mind poking a finger in the eye of the US. WWII is ancient history for most, and US hegemony is being weakened.
I still like our chances better than most. IOW, is there any other country where you would rather live?
That being said, is there anything the average person can do to change the present course of international monetary exchange, other than being along for the ride? Then, why should the average person care?
How is the FOREX going to change the level of wealth and income inequality that is the current source of pervasive global social malaise?
It won't, so who gives a shit? Even though I agree with T4C's conclusion, "They cannot afford to play without Us.", neither is this a game.

THIS IS YOUR RECOVERY AND THIS IS YOUR RECOVERY WITHOUT DRUGS « The Burning Platform
Admin, excellent article. Thanks for calling it the way you see it!
It's really only an academic or philosophical argument at this point whether there's going to be a collapse or whether QE really works. The only way it works if is the US creates a global hegemony, which isn't happening if the news reports are correct. I don't know how a stalemate impacts the status of the dollar as the world's reserve currency, but much depends on the production of energy. QE has certainly put the dollar at risk.
Reality is a bitch, and it remains to be seen whether the US can enforce it's economic might militarily. It's not looking too good right now, as we might be seeing the rise of the Ottoman Empire, which could act as an energy broker for the rest of the world. That isn't too far fetched given the Illuminati temples in Jerusalem, although the royal house of Saud may have something to say about it. Either way, if these militants stop accepting the USD for oil shipments, is it game over? I should say not, there's other oil and gas fields to exploit. It just isn't in the nature of the world system to yield in any respect or consideration.
We have a way to go before any systemic collapse. That's not to say there won't be a few shocks along the way. That which is unsustainable will be replaced by that which is. The central issue remains whether that which is will be based upon individual and collective freedom, or coercion through force by the implementation of a police state. We know which god is working where, and I know which one I choose. The alternative is unimaginable, for there is no end to the wickedness or evil thereof.
"In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."
(2 Corinthians 4:4 ESV)

Billy could just as easily have written this article. So, let's review, black teen gets shot by white LEO. By all accounts, the officer could have retreated and called for backup, with an ensuing stand off. The teen wasn't armed and non-lethal measures could have been used to subdue him.
The entire neighborhood would have turned out for the standoff, and the mob could have ultimately turned on the police officers. Since TPTB don't want to start shooting the peasants, it's bad public relations, this officer has been trained it's easier to shoot one and avoid escalation.
Now the peasants have had enough, perhaps rightfully so, and they start peaceably assembling in their own neighborhood. The police have formed their own line to keep them there, and the stand off continues.
It wasn't a righteous shoot. You can't gun someone down because of an irrational fear for your own safety. Yes, the kid was stupid, but that isn't a capital crime, and the police aren't judge and jury. The officer didn't wait for backup and took it upon himself to take down someone who was physically intimidating, but the officers life wasn't in danger when he pulled the trigger. The only way this was justified, is if the kid was charging the officer at the time he was shot. Waiting for backup would have taken away the lethality of the assault. You can't shoot someone because you don't want to get your hands dirty.
So, the question remains, why didn't the officer call and wait for backup? We know the consequences, but why? Are the Ferguson police riding herd over the urban dwellers? Well, it is Missouri.
This officer insisted on getting out of his car, and now a black youth is dead. Either this young man's life is worth something, or it's not. If it's not, then we've already become what we fear, a Machiavellian Police State. If it does, then the officer should be charged with manslaughter and let the courts do their job. Since the path of least resistance for TPTB is to do nothing, that's what they'll do. The main concern for everyone from the local police up to the Governor's office is to keep their pensions, and wait for everything to return to normal.
The city council could engage police and community leaders to address the strong arm tactics being used against the urban dwellers in Ferguson, but we're past that point. The local prosecutor most likely wants to keep his job past the next election cycle, so he's going to do what his backers want him to do, which is nothing. Besides, it would set a bad precedence if prosecutors started prosecuting real crimes, or charging law enforcement for the consequences of using excessive force. Given the overwhelming number of reports in the news of police using excessive force, perhaps this is exactly what is needed. The only difficulty is this requires TPTB to police themselves, which they have thus far been proven incapable of doing.
Who knows, I might peaceably demonstrate under similar circumstances, but I probably wouldn't do it in my own neighborhood. I would take it to the city council, and force them to cordon off city hall for every meeting for as long as it takes until the issue is addressed. It's not like these community activists have anything better to do than what for next month's EBT.
That's my 10,000 foot view with no other facts than the combat veteran who penned this post. When the US started fighting limited wars, it was only natural for them to bring this experience to bear on the domestic front. After all, that's what Barack Hussein Obama promised on the campaign trail, that's what he's doing, and it's the only thing our federal government knows how to do well, keep people moving around from reservation to reservation, relying on handouts. So much for the plantation.
Copfuks? The term police derives from the Latin and means "public order". The police are only doing their jobs. The root cause of the unrest is the establishment of a two tiered society of elites and the unwashed. Things have gotten quite desperate for those in the lower echelons of the social strata, and all the EBT cards and free stuff in the world can't restore a person's dignity.
It's probably too late for successive generations of welfare recipients. But it's not too late restore order, not on the streets, but in the board rooms, elected offices, and government at all levels. Or, maybe it is.
The protesters in Ferguson, Missouri aren't the problem. It's the killing of an unarmed teen by a police officer, only doing his job, that is the problem, and the use of excessive force.

Missouri Riots
Meh, you can't pin this on Obama, he's an underling. Each successive POTUS since and including Reagan has been progressively worse.
Tax and spend Liberals, with other people's money, have become borrow and spend fascists, with other people's freedom.
The riots in LA weren't confined to a few blocks in South Central, but spread up and down the west coast from San Diego to as far North as Portland, OR. Malcontents using the opportunity for mischief. The worst of it, though, was in LA, for sure.

The riots in LA weren't confined to a few blocks in South Central, but spread up and down the west coast from San Diego to as far North as Portland, OR. Malcontents using the opportunity for mischief. The worst of it, though, was in LA, for sure.

LL, the holy city of Jerusalem is the prize. There’s no way any nation state is going to let that one get away. Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all claim it. Honestly, I think Islam is full of shit, because isn’t Mecca their holy site? Come to think of it, yep!
Anyway, Islam lost that fight 1,400 years ago when they were kicked out of Europe, and I’m pretty sure the Greeks did the same to Persia a thousand years earlier.
Once oil was discovered, Islam hasn’t been quite as successful at kicking out the West.
Z predicates his final solution on national sovereignty, yet fails to make a case that Palestine, not Israel, has a right to exist. How can any individual or body say one nation has a right to exist, and another doesn’t? Would establishment of a Palestinian state bring peace? I think not!
Z is on the losing side of a centuries old territorial dispute. I’m not saying Britain didn’t have ulterior motives in establishing the state of Israel, but they did, and it would take another world war, with Z being on the winning side, which hasn’t happened ever in the history of civilization, to undo it.
Do everyone a favor, Z, and go croak on a mushroom. Does your employer know you’re a shrum head, possibly. How would I know that, Z? It wasn’t a little birdie.

Abraham Lincoln
I'm not even sure what is the point, a Southern militia flag and a quote from a war criminal.
Lincoln gained prominence as a lobbyist for the railroad industry, kicking people off their land during the western expansion. His support of the abolitionist movement was only to foster a divisive issue between the states and hurt the South economically, much like the feds are doing today with race relations, aka Zimmerman, a test case to incite racial tension.
The federal government has been a thorn and a prick in the side of individual freedom since it's inception. I'm beginning to think of the founders as war criminals themselves. Behind the politicians are the bankers, and it's the federal reserve act of 1913 which should be repealed and the bankers kicked out, as Jackson accomplished and Lincoln intended before he was assassinated at the start of his second term, and one of the reasons Kennedy was assassinated.
I'll stop there, but suffice it to say the fate of western civilization and indeed that of the world hangs in the balance.

We were on vacation at the other WB, Wrightsville Beach. I saw an RC quad copter my first day there, being run by a videographer, or at least, that’s what he said after I figured out it wasn’t a kite.
The annoying thing was the helicopter runs being done out of the AFB near Camp Lejeune, 60 miles to the north. One of them actually harassed a 60′ fishing yacht by flying directly over it, then turning on it’s side to peer down directly onto the fishing deck.
The most annoying thing was the 4 engine DHS speed boat that cruised through the 4th of July celebration at Masonboro Island a few times, with obviously the most expensive boat there, or close to it. The kids were waving, and a few stupid parents. Everyone else was wearing a WTF expression. I suggested throwing glass objects at them and they would get the idea pretty quick. No one seconded the motion.
I consider it all harassment. I can’t wait for their party to end, and we take these fascists down. Patrick Henry said it best, and I won’t to any relocation camp peacefully. Or, I could be wrong and they come in peace. Yeah, right!
BTW, I didn’t see ANY fat ugly chicks at the southern WB. PLEASE KEEP THEM UP THERE!

We Just Don’t Get It « The Burning Platform
If it was enough to win the day with sound reasoning, perhaps we wouldn't be in the pickle we're in.
There are sinister and nefarious conflagrations under foot which threaten to undo the liberty upon which this country is founded. The same entrenched special interests will do everything within their power to maintain status quo, even to the point of imposing martial law. They will try to ride out this depression the same way they've done so since the Federal Reserve Act was enacted in 1913, by inflating away the problem.
The problem isn't with our country, our economy, our society, or any aspect of it. The problem is the bankers are running it, and money is their god.
Now, to eat my own dog food, how do we resolve it? Electing Ron Paul would have been a good start, but the American people don't won't change, they want status quo. Status quo, however, is unsustainable by any means, short of dominating the world and enforce the status of the dollar as the world's reserve currency at the point of a sword, which is what the feds have been doing. Since it isn't possible to establish an authoritarian world government, one which the US dominates, even though this is their desire, the crash will be swift and severe. And why? Because it's all in the name of the almighty dollar.
Supposedly, the world is about to dump the dollar, at least as much as possible, and for the same reason, so should, too, the American people, and renegotiate the social contract, meaning gold plated retirement public pensions and underfunded government guaranteed private pensions will need to be reformed, and perhaps replace them with a generous social security plan. Anything to cut the long term unfunded obligations of the US federal govt. It's a start.
Bowles and Simpson had a plan, but no one liked it. Ron Paul had a plan, but not enough people recognized it. The American people cannot claim ignorance, and that no one warned them. They just haven't listened. I don't hold out hope that they every will, and we can't count on our elected officials, so were does that leave us? Right where we are.
Perhaps it's enough to fight for what is right, since that is the only course available to us. And to fight against what is wrong. The internet provides a means which hasn't been available to previous generations. We see how the NSA will use that power against us. We need to burn up our elected representatives phone lines and inboxes to hold them accountable to fiscal responsibility.
It's too late for the boomers, but it may not be too late to preserve liberty for future generations, by dismantling the nanny state and decentralizing the bureaucracy. It's not going to be easy, but the alternative is a totalitarian police state, in place of the individual freedom upon which this country was founded.

WHEN THE EBT CARDS STOP WORKING « The Burning Platform
Those riots weren't contained to four city blocks in south LA, they spread up and down the west coast from San Diego in the south to Portland, OR in the north.
The rioters were basically malcontents looking for any excuse to cause mayhem.
Your best protection, have at least 2-3 weeks of provisions, and a means to defend ones self and loved ones against random acts of violence. 2-3 months of provisions, including a supply of water would be even better, depending on how severe the unrest becomes. If you can survive the initial civil unrest, your chances of survival go up considerably.
If 2-3 months go by, and thugs are still controlling the local centers, one will have to make the decision, fight or flight. Flight carries it's own risk, and raises the risk of ending up in a relocation camp.
Local communities that band together to provide for common security needs will be best off, but there still needs to be a means of food production, and as a society, we're so far removed from local food production, it's a real concern. Not all of us are as level headed as HF, and I question the ability of local farms to provide for even a modest community, which also shows my ignorance in this area. I can tell you from my experience growing up hunting and fishing, it's a good thing our survival didn't depend on eating what we caught.
At the end of the day, one can put their faith in God,
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."
(Matthew 6:34 ESV)

Interesting discussion last night, sorry I missed it. LL, Billy, and El Shishkabob, oh my!
I've been reading about some wave of new immigration from the South. First, they came north, then came the global financial crisis, then they went south, now they're coming north, again?
LL, put down your bourbon, it's not cheap labor, this time it's cheap votes. Aw, snap!
http://www.shtfplan.com/headline-news/shock-government-contract-homeland-security-solicited-bids-for-escort-services-for-unaccompanied-alien-children-in-january_06232014
It would be hilarious, if it wasn't so serious. Since apparently, blacks weren't breeding fast enough in the sixties, throw in hispanics, and you've got quite the voting block, and you can always import more.
Not that Europeans weren't breeding like rabbits in frontier America, I suppose the oligarchy why grow organically, when you can astro-turf.
One has to give them points for originality, though, it never ceases to amaze what lengths the Devil will go to manipulate the unsuspecting.
I'll keep my guns, thank you very much.

OK, I'll accept the best preparation possible. We won't know when or where the "Clustefuck of Biblical Proportion" is going to occur, simply that it might. Which also means it might possibly not, however, it would be reckless not to accept the possibility it might.
That being a given, let's consider the spiritual reality, that neither does the Adversary know when the gathering together of God's people to himself might occur, and he must be continually on guard.
It is a stalemate, and the most interesting aspect of it all, in my opinion, is that we also know the outcome. I'll leave it at that for this edition of the Doomstead Diner. Cheers, RE!

One unmitigated disaster after another by this administration. I do believe he is that stupid, and I think he's doing that in which he believes is right. Too bad it's to the detriment of the nation.
George Bush was also doing what he believed was right, and we now know who are the bad actors, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Tenet. Clinton, Rubin, Gore from the Clinton administration.
These ideologues aren't interested in fairness or righteousness, they run from their own playbook, which changes to suit their whim. This is why they hate the constitution, because it holds them to a set of rules.
The mid-term elections should determine the course of the nation for the next two years, and may be sufficient to counter the status quo. They will have two years to garner the sentiment of the populace, with the ultimate goal of disarming the people, in order to finalize the establishment of a global order.
The Tea Party and the Occupy movement, have both been usurped by national organizations. If you recall, the initial movement would not establish a chain of command. Likewise, the Bundy militia would not allow un-vetted personnel on the compound, which saved them from a potential disaster when the Millers showed up.
Agent provocateurs, false flag attacks, and useful idiots, oh, my! I would be ashamed of my government, if there wasn't a glimmer of hope that in spite of all odds, freedom will reign at the end of the day.

Power mad Napoleon's of the neo-feudal age do not go quietly into that dark night. That this general might follow the example of General Douglas McArthur may be asking too much.
There have been a succession of administrations going back to the origins of the country which together form a pattern of deceit against the people of this country, in favor of industry and businesses which corrupt the political process.
Knowing this, why the SCOTUS would legitimize unlimited corporate political contributions is itself a telling fact. It takes a lot of money to deliver public sentiment for the puppet masters.
I'm sure Alexander is on the bleeding edge of detecting social media events and future crimes. After all, if one controls cyber space, how far are we from the matrix?

This topic is so much bullshit, it would take a front end loader and even then you couldn’t make a dent in it.
If your anti-Israel, you’re anti-God. All the god-haters line up on one side, and you’re the same ones hating Israel. You’re no different from the Nazis. They were some fucked up people, spiritually, and you’re no different.
Now, a significant portion of you also hate cops, not all, but there’s a significant overlap. And here’s why, if you can put a label on someone or something, then it’s easier to dismiss it, to ignore it, to pretend it doesn’t exist, or objectify them, to the point they’re no longer human.
Now, we’re all adults here, so who gives a shit. Know this, though, it’s just about as juvenile as it gets, and none of it amounts to anything, except whether you love god, or love the world. In the end, that’s all that matters. So, enjoy your freedom while it lasts. Spit on the name of Jesus, go ahead, but there will be a day when we will all give an account of ourselves to the almighty, and you will not be able to claim ignorance.
“For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,
“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
until I make your enemies your footstool.”’
(Acts 2:34-35 ESV)

So, when the global financial crisis became the sovereign debt crisis, never mind exactly why that transition took place, and sovereign entities are unable to service the debt, which is precisely what the GDP vs Equities chart shows, at what point do the Global 25 replace nation states?
Not that it matters, since they also make the laws.
Furthermore, it also belies the point that sovereign states have failed to protect the interest of it's citizens in favor of corporate interests. I'm all ears to see how this one turns out. Or, are those who write legislation also above it? Really? Hmm, let's revisit this issue on the most fundamental grounds. I'm watching the Miami Heat lose the finals, and I'm a little pissed about what I'm composing, so there's a war waging within soul.
On the one hand, no one can be disappointed in watching Spoelstra's team lose, while at the same time give credit where it is due, and on the other hand, what are we, chopped liver? Apparently, this is what our elected reps in federal office presume. Ok, it's a commercial, but still not enough time to deal with this. I'm considering my options. On the one hand, nah, don't want to be labeled a terrorist on account of standing up for what is right. Who am I kidding, yes, I do.
So, there it is, if it's more honorable to be labeled a terrorist, and stand up for that which one believes, than submit to that which is unjust, then right and honor it will be, and there will be a bright line. Right and honor on one side, deception and lies on the other. It will become more clear as GDP's collapse, and private interests are held in higher regard than the good of the public, antithetical to the principles upon which this country was founded, but one which socialist capitalism, or whatever you want to call it, reaches it's natural conclusion.
Happy Father's Day, have a great week, and God bless us all.

I wonder how many examples of equally stupid publicly funded rhetoric we can find with dissenting views of the bible? It's hypocritical to take one example and use to that to condemn one ideology, or, what is your point?
My biblical views are consistent with evolution, which is theory, by the way. If God chose to take 6 billion years to form the earth, what is that to you?
To get to the crux of your argument, yes, dinosaurs existed and were made extinct 35 million years ago. They had life, but of a different form than we know it, that which was created in Genesis.
Now that I've addressed your issue, answer mine, Evolution has never been proven because there is not one example of cross genus evolution, the proverbial missing link. Why is that? Take your time, I've got all eternity to wait for your reply.

The financiers seem to have everything locked up pretty well, that and their willing accomplices in the federal government. Carter was the last POTUS to even attempt to control the federal bureaucracy, where it's so out of control now there's no turning back, and it's either them or us. When that day comes, they should lay their arms down peaceably. What would happen if a war is declared, and no one showed up? But there will be a catalyst at some point which may cause civil unrest, and it will be at a time and choosing of these global elite. This assumes a nefarious conspiracy, or are we being led by the nature of man. To be sure, this is what is being manipulated, but to what end? If man is smart enough to build great societies and great structures, does he possess enough intelligence not to destroy himself? When then, does one owe to society, or civilization? Apparently, lies are owed, at least judging from what we are witnessing. Will no one stand up and declare themselves? It's not enough for one, but for all. But such is the nature of the true enemy, whom Jesus Christ exposed once and for all.
It struck me yesterday that these oligarchs wouldn't get involved in sports franchises, unless they could own all the teams, thereby guaranteeing victory for themselves.
Such is the meaning of fair play to these misers, as much as it exists in the world.
To carry the sports analogy a step further, athletics were devised to keep military combatants in good physical conditioning during times of peace.
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable." (1 Corinthians 9:24-25 ESV)
and,
"For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; for it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall confess to God.”
So then each of us will give an account of himself to God.
(Romans 14:10b-12 ESV)
God will be their judge.
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."(Ephesians 6:12 ESV)

Yeah, right, Scree. That would require a level of intelligence I rather doubt you possess.
What a chicken shit thing to say about anyone. If and when SHTF, after a few days the cops are going home to take care of their families, then it will be open season on anyone left.
It’s all about continuity of government, the shadow variety. They’ll be defending key infrastructure and taking a wait and see approach. Stores will begin to get looted, no gas will be available after a few days, and then it will be neighbor against neighbor as the LA riots, NO and NE hurricane aftermaths play out on a national scale, which will also be the signal for riots to erupt in almost every non-militarized oligarchy ruled country. Can’t say about China, they may be the big winners if they’re able to maintain order. Maybe this is why the US is reported to be considering first strike offensives against both Russia and China. Once the US falls, NATO will be a sitting duck. They can’t fight a war on two fronts, domestic and foreign, not when the productive elements of our nation have been scuttled by the globalization of our industry.
If the currency collapses, the only chance the US Federal government has is to lay down their arms, and let a people’s legislature take command. If they want a fight, then a fight it will be. It will be a fitting end to generations of bureaucratic mismanagement and malfeasance. As the federal bureaucracy is marched tarred and feathered out of DC, the people can once again claim their rightful position at the head of government of, for, and by the people. Washington cannot claim this right at the present and until a popular movement assumes control, and winnows the federal bureaucracy from it’s unconstitutional functions, it cannot claim that right.
Any effort to effect a police state in our nation is bound to fail, notwithstanding all of the devices of the wicked.

These next two years will be an all out assault on the 2A. It’s the only thing standing in the way of the anti-constitutionalists, but they won’t tip their hand too soon. Expect the rise of the police state after November, which will test the resolve of the new Congress. The best we can hope for is stalemate for the next two years. AWD on the wrong track, as usual.
Negative interest rates only show how truly worthless paper currency becomes. Rates will never go back up, unless hyperinflation hits, then it’s game over, economy blown.
So, if rates remain conducive for banks to continue gaming the system, the US will continue borrowing from the lender of last resort, when do the chickens come home to roost, and in what form?
Global hegemony for the US is the only way out, with China and Russia standing in the way.
I still think collusion between these three will be the order of the day. They’ll divide the spoils amongst their oligarchies, leaving serfs and elites, which is how Orlov puts it. This brings up the question of freedom, and when is anyone truly free, except in their own minds, and by the grace of God?

TE, I recall not too long ago, maybe it was during the Carter administration, or perhaps post "let's party like it's 1999 with OPM" Reaganomics, getting progressively worse with each succeeding POTUS up to and including the Obaminator, that the fear was Japan was going to own America.
The commercial market went bust, and with it the Japanese economy, from which it has never recovered.
There are a lot of cards left to play in this last boom or bust game of charades being perpetrated on the world's economic stage, and it's winner take all. Who give a crap about the Chinese? The US is looking for ANY source of revenue, and they don't care from whence it comes.
Ultimately, the Devil they worship will destroy them as surely as he would destroy the rest of us, given the opportunity. I'll put my faith in the Lord and the power of his might, not the god of this world.
50,000 chinese? Give me a break, we killed over 1,000,000 of them in the Korean War, and could have bombed them back into China, but the oligarchy prefers detente while they siphon off what remains of the world's resources.

I'll have to admit to a certain bias toward the English language, maybe if Google translate was a little quicker, but even then, who gives a shit what anyone in the EU thinks, or vice versa?
Germany is the engine of a failing union, just as the US is the engine of a failing global economy. Dollar denominated debt is the biggest issue facing the West, and the global oligarchy will maintain status quo until there is a replacement for the USD. They will then usurp the USD with SDR's and let the dollar fall. They can't let it go completely, otherwise the debt will become valueless, as well.
Taking back the printing press from the Fed, and printing $16T in bills to pay off the national debt would be a start, then there's still $200T of unfunded federal obligations with which to contend.
Demographics will be the undoing, for all of the developed and developing nations. What this means for the social contract, and global corporatism remains to be seen. Corporations are beholden to the shareholder. This much has been proven beyond doubt. If only government was as beholden to the taxpayer and their constituents on a one person, one vote basis.
It's understood this flies in the face of many a vested interest. Perhaps this is what is needed the most. It's time for an American Spring, but not yet. The shadow government of Dick Cheney will reveal itself in due time. Everyone I know and everyone with whom I speak is ready for it. Most of these are ready for the return of Christ, as well. If you don't know what I'm talking about, that should give you pause to consider.
God bless, you, too, Stucky!

That’s right, Stucky, Jesus was crucified on a tree.
NATO was in Georgia, Republic of, not too recently. I suppose Putin senses weakness in the West over the Global Sovereign Debt Crisis, and perhaps rightly so.
The problem with men mad with power hungry global ambitions, they tend to be ruthless and often quite brilliant. Alexander, Charlemagne, Genghis Kahn, Napoleon, Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung.
Yes, the 20th century is replete with the most extreme examples of totalitarianism leading to the worst democracide. Let’s not leave out the Khmer Rouge, although technically they and North Korea are extensions of the Chinese police state.
I don’t know how these rulers fit into 4th turnings, but suffice it to say it’s not impossible to imagine we could find ourselves embroiled in a third world war, fighting for the future of our species.
Let’s not leave out the US, the greatest war machine the world has ever known, and an oligarchy state as ruthless as any ever known, willing to go to any length to preserve their global hegemony which requires all states to submit to the rule of the dollar, or it’s successor, of which they won’t control. Their very survival is at stake, at least from their perspective.
There’s nothing less than the control of the world, the cosmos, and the future of our species at stake. It remains to be seen whether the East or the West is stronger, but I think the edge goes to the West. The prize is still Iran, and Russia’s display of force is merely drum beating, and rather futile in effort, for what does it gain him, except symbolically, which is why he needs for this to be demonstrated to him.
It will be interesting to see what tricks these ponies will resort to. I think I’ll go pop some popcorn.
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.”
(Psalm 23 ESV)
Amen and amen.

SPREADING HATRED AND DIVISION « The Burning Platform
Billy says, "Now they’re fuckin “in charge” (we beez Prez’dint an sheeit!) and we’re going straight to hell on a rocket sled…"
Are you that fucking stupid? I'm pretty sure the current rocket sled was continued by Reagan, who continued what the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 started, which was a continuation of banker influence since the formation of this great nation, which was a continuation of the money changers, who Jesus chased out of the temple in Jerusalem, which is a continuation of original sin begun by Satan, himself.
Hmm, you don't like connecting the dots. I see. Then I don't feel sorry for you. If you don't recognize the problem, then neither will you know the answer for it. Salvation for this country, and indeed the world, can only come from above, and by the grace and goodness of God Almighty, God and Father the Lord Jesus Christ.
To blame anything on the current administration is at the expense of ignoring the totality of modern, ancient and pre-world history, and is itself, the height of hypocrisy. Not unlike that to which all athiests, pagans, and god haters aspire. By rejecting god, they reject themselves, and the world to which they presume themselves to be masters, will know them no more. That day will come soon enough. In the meantime, even given Bozo the Clown in Chief has got to be one of the worst POTUS in history, with his complete and total lack of effectiveness, Obamacare was foisted upon us by the Congress, Obama merely signed it. Even allowing this, Bozo is certainly not the worst POTUS in the history of this country. Just one of the worst.
Whether or not the US Congress is the absolute worst in all of recorded history remains to be seen. They're certainly headed in that direction, and have actually done great things, if that is to be their ultimate legacy, to preside over TEOTWAWKI. As long as they get their pensions and the best health care money can buy, they're totally OK with that. In the meantime, while the $ remains the world's reserve currency, they'll continue to print and spend, which has reduced the private sector to dependent status, as evidenced by the astronomical number of families living as government dependents. Federal deficit spending has literally replaced private investment, or at least in the process of doing so, the share of GDP being spent by the public sector doubling between 2000 and 2010 from something like 12% to 25%. But, as long as the 55% continue to get theirs, they're OK with that.
Something has to give, and it's going to be either us or them. I prefer not losing by voting for Tea Party candidates, since the OWS doesn't have any. It's going to be a battle, if the ballots recently held in VA are any indication. The status quo has a lot to lose, if they lose their influence in DC. It's easier to play dirty and win elections thereby securing a majority vote in CONUS, then having to resort to the same tricks for every influential vote in Congress on every issue.
They've had a pretty good run, to say the least. Unfortunately, neither history nor current sentiment appear to be working in the contrarian's favor. While everyone might agree our system of government could work for the benefit of all, what is clear from the actions of the SCOTUS, CONUS, and POTUS, the system has been hijacked and is not only working the benefit of the few, but leading us toward a police state, which the founders of our country fought so gallantly to prevent. Then there is the nasty business of US wars of aggression beginning with the American Indian. How can anyone trust what they say? Only a fool. What then, say you?
"As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:36-37 ESV)
"And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, ... But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” (Joshua 24:15 ESV)

Don Quijones: “Uncreative” Destruction – The Troika’s Hostile Takeover of Europe | naked capitalism
I cannot agree more with the assertions of Quijones, and his analysis; "traditionally divided Europeans from across the political spectrum face a conundrum of existential proportions: do we unite and fight to save what we have, or do we roll over for the corporate steamroller?"
Polls are manipulated to prevent organization against the trend of corporatism, not only in Europe, but in all of Western Society. Where centralization and fascism have been fait accompli in Russia and China since the peasant revolts, and the continent of Africa despoiled during colonization, democracy has taken decidedly longer to reach this point, and the will of the people is no longer a cost effective consideration.
The west will roll over and submit to the will of corporate dictatorship. This was warned about in George Orwell's 1984, where decisions over life and death will be determined in the boardroom, and not the parliament, by dictatorship, not by a majority. Once control has been gained, we will see whether this new dictator will be benevolent or malevolent. Whether peace ensues, or the global economic system reverberates from one crisis to another. People will bear what is bearable. Constitutions were setup to protect the people from their government. The government has failed in it's responsibility to protect the people from international monopolies. Surely, there is a forum where these grievances can be addressed, and there is, the court of the Almighty God and Father of Jesus Christ, in which all, rich and poor alike, will give an answer on that day. Praise be to God. Amen.

Amen.

ARE YOU A PSYCHOPATH? « The Burning Platform
Without an understanding of demon possession, it is impossible to understand the psyche of these individuals. A person possessed by a devil spirit is a willing accomplice. “The devil made me do it” is not an affirmative defense, but a confession.
Devil spirit influence is not the same thing as possession, neither is the anti-christ. One is simply being influenced in your thinking, the other is selling out your soul to the devil, the anti-thesis of being born again of God’s spirit.
Both a person possessed and an anti-christ will exhibit these traits. A person possessed can have that spirit cast out and be redeemed, if he or she so chooses. An anti-christ has the seed of the serpent in them, and they will be tormented for all eternity in the lake of sulphur and fire reserved for the devil and the beast. They would be worthy of pity were it not for their acts of atrocity, murder, genocide, and torture of millions and perhaps millions upon millions before it’s all said and done.
I’ll leave the psychobabble to those way smarter than me. Thankfully, we have a saviour from the wrath that is to come.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20 ESV)
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” (Romans 10:9-10 ESV)

Civilization Will Not Survive « The Burning Platform
Our civilization as we KNOW it would not survive. Knocking the wind out of government finances doesn't mean knocking the wind out of government. They have and are preparing.
The most important prep for the private sector, and anyone is spiritual. Knowing what we're fighting for, and who is the enemy.
After a collapse, civilization will continue, albeit under significantly different circumstances, especially if the return of Christ for his church happens first, or at the same time, see prepping priority. If he does, I won't need the months of stored food, water, and ammo I have stockpiled, and some hapless soul is welcome to it. They'll need it.
"Chaos, starvation, and war" may sum it up nicely. Survival probability increases significantly after the first few weeks and months. After that period of time, civilization will begin to restore itself. Whether it is a decentralized bartering economy, or insurgency waged against a police state remains to be seen.
It is possible the events recorded in Ezekiel, Joel, and Revelation will play out. A decent account of these events is outlined by John Hagee, John Hagee, pastor and author of ‘Four Blood Moons: Something Is About to Change,’ The first of which will occur on April 15 of this year. Between April 2014 and October 2015, Four blood moons (lunar eclipses) and one solar eclipse will occur on corresponding Judean holidays, potentially heralding a significant spiritual event.
Sometimes, it's better to know, than not. Make that always. Are you prepared for the coming restoration of God's kingdom to Jerusalem?
"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." (Romans 10:9-10 ESV)
"He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!"(Revelation 22:20 ESV)

THE STATE OF OUR EDUCATION « The Burning Platform
Gayle, no it’s not. It’s not helping, but the reason the US will soon be unrecognizable is because of US capitulation of fiscal responsibility going back to the founding of the country in some regards, but primarily with the FRA of 1913, which wouldn’t have been possible without the War of Northern Agression and leading to the first Great Depression. POTUS’s have been assassinated over it.
The current system is statistically unsustainable in domestic terms. In global terms, SHTF is going to occur sooner, because the rest of the world is not going to submit to US hegemony, which is what is required for the US dollar to remain the world’s reserve currency. The US is powerful, but not all powerful. When the $ falls, TPTB are first and foremost concerned about maintaining status quo, hence the build up of a domestic police state and nationalization of the country’s health care system.
That the national education system is a failure is not the fault of the students. It’s their parents fault, who were the first generation plopped down in front of a TV set and subjected to mass media along the lines of North Korea or Nazi Germany.
Personal responsibility is one thing, but apparently the state exists to provide jobs to teachers and other government drones. That is what is going to change, or there will be a second civil war, unless we are to accept a totalitarian police state. There may not even be a shot fired when the $ crashes and interest rates wreck the economy overnight.
Will the sun come up in the morning? Of course, but the devil is still the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

IraK, lets’ put things in cultural perspective. The last time there was this much discontent in the country, it was the boomers who were 20 something. The 1960′s were a time that anyone will tell you nearly tore the social fabric of our country apart.
Now, you and LL and telling everyone, that’s the way it is. Not good enough. What the fuck do thing the Tea Party and OWS are all about?
I will endeavour to refrain from using the perfectly good english word “fuck” in every post, but for fuck’s sake, what the fuck?
IraK, again, in perspective, it was the boomers who abandoned the ideals for which they were protesting. The SYSTEM which you espouse so highly, is going to fail, it’s a statistical certainty. Where the fuck do you get off telling anyone to accept it? It’s malicious negligence to do so. Where are your ideals, oh yeah, you sold out.
And, LL, who said tax the rich. I think you’re paranoid. Besides, it wouldn’t matter, doesn’t cover the gap. My concern is, after the dust has settled, their will be two systems, one outside the green zones, and one inside.
Revelations talks about such a thing, but it’s established by God Almighty, maker of heaven and earth and all that is in them, and not by the rulers of this world. Not that it will stop them from trying.
The best bet is to get right with God, accept Jesus as Lord, and believe god raised him from the dead. Then you will have eternal life, which cannot be taken away, and buckle up because it’s about to get real. You have nothing to lose.
“And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4 ESV)

anon, are you brain dead. Obummer doesn’t control anything, nor has any POTUS beginning with Reagan.
LBJ, now there’s a POTUS who was in control. Just ask Jackie.
I read something recently that discussed how Reagan didn’t want Bush as a running mate, but it was decided for him, so the feds would have an inside man in the WH.
Look at who Bush II had in his administration, same deal. Clinton had Hillary. If Gore had won, we would have had HillaryCare a decade sooner.
It’s unconscionable the way this country is being run. Even they know the ship is going down, what is not known is how deep. How bad is it going to be, and who is going to be in control. Whether we become a police state, or one of individual freedom.
Obummer has pulled out all the stops in the media campaign for the ACA, has already conceded the mid-terms, and is fighting for the survival of his next two years in office.
The repubs will allow things to descend into chaos, but only to a certain extent, so the pieces aren’t too hard to pick up in 2016.
Above all, the only thing either side cares about is being in control. The 4th branch of government, the federal bureaucracy doesn’t care who’s in control as long as their budgets increase at least as much as the real rate of inflation.
LL mentioned we have 3 years of Obummer to reach $20T in debt, and the destruction of our health care system. I wonder if he and AWD thing the repubs are the answer.
I vote repub, and I supported Ron Paul. The tea party has the answers, but spending and cut taxes to allow private business to invest. Americans don’t want that kind of change, so we get a welfare state. It will fail, so the question remains what takes it’s place. I say kick out the career pols and crats. I see it in state government, and I know it exists in the federal.
Geopolitics is at a stalemate over Iran, which can continue for decades. Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine could easily ignite a hot war in the middle east, and once that starts, there’s no telling where it will end.
I think peace starts by recognizing the failure of the state, by abdicating it’s fiscal responsibility. Kick out the bankers at the fed, and let’s begin by restoring our own house.

How many Basichs are out there with how many $M in claims? This should keep the courts busy for years. At least until the collapse, and the insurance companies will be sitting pretty, having diversified their investments across the strata. Why isn't investment income used to lower insurance premiums?
No one will argue the system could be tweaked to work for everyone, and no one will argue it has been tweaked to work only for the elite, and the FSA, depending on how far you want to take the analogy.
Where the break down occurs is when the elite assume they can act with impunity, and their will be no consequences. When exploitation of the earth's resources has reached it's zenith, what then?
"As it is written,
“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:36-37 ESV)
Given a choice, I will take my chances with the Lord God Almighty, and in the power of his might. Tough choice, right. It's easy when you have nothing to lose. It's tougher when you're in a position of power and you have a difficult decision to make between right and wrong. At least Edward Snowden, and PFC Bradley Manning made the right decisions.

ClubOrlov: Is anyone really in control in Ukraine?
Dimitri, thank you for continuing to follow and post about the unfolding developments in the Ukraine.
I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment the people of the Ukraine will be best served by a government which supports their individual and collective cultures.
The super powers on both sides will have to be restrained to allow this restructuring to occur. Each of the regions should elect a delegation to effect this change as quickly as possible and without external interference, while recognizing the value of their region to both Russia and Europe.
The issues causing conflict in the Ukrainian are the same as those in Iran, control over the transport of energy resources. This can and should work to the advantage of the Ukrainian people for self determination.

I like the steam room at the Y, which I'm sure will gender all kinds of remarks. Maybe not, since it seems like I'm also everyone's kill list.
I'll consider myself in good company :)
Oh, saw the Devil last night in a half sleep state. Been reading about the Illuminati, the etymology of which is from the same root as Lucifer, and lunar, the moon. His was the face of the moon, but with a long drooping nose, so that while he was attempting to put on a enlightened, face and he was being worshiped, his appearance was an embarrassment to himself and his worshipers slunk away. His expression alternated between drawing himself up to look proud, and looking sheepish and embarrassed of his appearance.
The word of God is like turning the light on in the kitchen. The cockroaches scatter.
Maybe it was something I ate. We ate at a Chinese hibachi buffet last night. A bit on the expensive side, but it was good. There's no telling what was in the food, maybe some irradiated shrimp.
Anyway, cheers, and we'll see you on the flip side!

THE FACE OF TYRANNY « The Burning Platform
Since it's come up, and with the information made freely available on the Internet, there are a couple of points to make. First of all, don't you know the cold warriors are having viagra hard ons that have lasted more than 8 hours. Secondly, it's painfully obvious to anyone who's been paying attention that the US and the EU didn't like the direction the democratically elected government was taking with respect to Putin government, and pulled out all the stops to reverse direction.
The Russian minority in the Western Ukraine want a government aligned with Russia, the Ukraine majority in eastern Ukraine want a government aligned with the EU, and both Russia and the EU simply want to control the flow of gas through the Ukraine.
If there has ever been a perfect time in history to form a geographical boundary between cultural disparate populations, and allow each the autonomy to control their own political and economic destiny, this is it. Neither the US and EU, nor Russia dare mention dividing the country, since it's easier to control with one political system. Hence, too, the push for one world government, one which would hand over control of the entire world's resources to the one worlders as spoil, at least that which isn't controlled by them already, and it takes an ever burgeoning bureaucracy to manage such things, as witnessed in the EU.
Which makes it all the more critical for the Ukrainians to fight for their independence from Russia and the West. Maybe the banksters will loan them the money to fight against future revenues driven by pipelines passing through their country. Isn't that how we got here?
The silver lining may be there aren't any muslim extremists in their country, yet, threatening to blow everything up. If they're smart, after kicking out the Russians and the West, they'll keep the rag heads out. If they do that, nobodies going to want to take them on anyway.
We are at a crossroad of human civilization, and this is but one of the many battles that will be played out as freedom faces tyranny. It's thrilling to be alive and to be a witness to the spectacle of the most powerful entities on the planet exposing their hand, which would not be possible without the freedom of information which the Internet provides. I don't know the Ukrainian people, but they seem to be as modern as anyone in Russia, and they've come a long way since the break up of the Soviet Union.
Maybe someday the same can be said of the West after the collapse of the almighty dollar.

Stuckmeister can't help but criticize anyone younger than himself. After all it was his generation which coined the phrase, "I used to not trust anyone over 30, now I don't trust anyone under $30k per year."
The boomers were the first stupefied generation whose living rooms were filled with post WWII mass propoganda in the 50's. No wonder they hate the younger generation, when they reflect upon all of the lost opportunity their lives have engendered.
I still don't think this is the root of the issue. There's a conspiracy underfoot, and it's spiritual, not physical. If one wants to know the truth of a matter, one need only look to the source of truth, God's Word. Then there is a standard by which to judge all, and to ascertain that which is right, and good, and pure, and that which is not.
Generational conflict is merely a distraction to that which is real, an all out war between the forces of good and evil, with one's eternal life in the balance.

Gayle says, "I’m not defending the lopsided access to the workplace that Boomers enjoy. But somebody makes the decision that they are a better investment for an employer."
Wrong! It's only that the support system which emerged when the economy expanded horizontally to hire all those not so educated and not so well trained individuals still exists.
Civil servants, at least in the great state from whence I hail, are refusing to retire after 30 years of never experiencing a recession, and a guaranteed income for the rest of their lives. Why? Because it means a 40 percent reduction in their take home. That's right, they retire with only 60% of their full time salaries. A $20B budget, 90% of it is salaries, and retirement eligible won't retire because it isn't in their best interest. It's would be in the best interest of the taxpayers if they were forced to retire, and hire younger workers. As it is, 80% of the state workers will retire within 5 years. Who said boomers can't do math?
There's going to be a 4T, if only because of the incredibly asinine and narcissistic mindset of the boomers.

Zara's ignorance strikes again. He was talking about Reagan!
Either that, or he's the biggest hypocrite on the face of the earth. That the people of this nation listened to Reagan, heard his propaganda, saw the results of this actions, and then voted for him, twice, get the government they deserve.
I just don't like being lied to. I suppose some people do.
You're a fool, Z, for singling out one single POTUS since Carter, as they have each been progressively worse. However, the game is about to change, we just don't know how, but go ahead with your ignorance.
The bankers would have a one world currency, which they control, although they may have to play one country against another, with their basket of SDR's. Unsustainable debt, debt which sovereign countries assumed while the oligarchy got rich, instead of default, has given rise to the biggest debt bubble the world has ever seen. Will it go pop is the question.
It's not about one fool in the WH, or one jackass on TBP. What's tomorrow, Chuch Norris jokes?

Either that, or he's the biggest hypocrite on the face of the earth. That the people of this nation listened to Reagan, heard his propaganda, saw the results of this actions, and then voted for him, twice, get the government they deserve.
I just don't like being lied to. I suppose some people do.
You're a fool, Z, for singling out one single POTUS since Carter, as they have each been progressively worse. However, the game is about to change, we just don't know how, but go ahead with your ignorance.
The bankers would have a one world currency, which they control, although they may have to play one country against another, with their basket of SDR's. DUMB AS A ROCK AND NO MORAL COMPASS « The Burning Platform
Z, palestinians, meaning who? I suppose, strictly speaking, Israel defeated the Phillistines under King Saul, the first king of Israel. Since modern day palestinians are not phillistines, then it is they who are the invaders, meaning Israelis where there first, until the Roman invasion.
So, give it a rest, Z. What is your identification with the palestinians? Are you of Arab descent? What’s the deal? Before oil was discovered, most of your “people” were nomads. Any US soldier you talk to about their experience in the ME, will tell you how disgusting and backwards your “people” are.
How do you feel about Mexican nationals in the US. Should the US give US territory back to the indigenous people? What about Australia? We can make this argument all day. Israel is a legal state recognized by the world community. Should there be a Palestine? Who cares? But, sure as shit it shouldn’t come from territory inside of Israel. Let another arab country provide a homeland for your peeps.
I recognize Israel has committed atrocities. What country hasn’t in a time of war? Maybe the losing side.
Your loyalty is misplaced, Z, IMO. However, I’m interested in how you identify with the invader palestines. Is it part of your Zoarastic spiritual quest? If so, not sure how to answer that, except, welcome to the losing side. Zarustra is dead, right? So is Mohammed, Gandhi, and so on. Jesus Christ is the only man God raised from the dead and set at his own right hand.
Not to gloat, but there it is. I will believe the one true God, and his son, Jesus Christ. You can have your false religion, which is your right. But you’re on the wrong side of the palestenian debate. Israel will never accept ceding territory within it’s borders, nor should they. Theater nuclear war is not off the table. I hope your riding the lead camel when they take you out.
Thanks for explaining your misplaced ideology. It makes sense now, Z. Doesn’t make it right. There is a standard for truth, and you’ve misplaced your compass, as if you ever had one. Glad you found a religion to adopt. Try believing the truth, you might be surprised.

THE DAY OBAMACARE DIED « The Burning Platform
Card, how is that single payer system going to work, pay what you can afford?
Who makes up the difference, the feds? They haven't gotten the memo, they're broke. It must have gotten hung up in interstellar space. Of course, the entire world is going to capitulate and continue to accept Washington's IOU's as payment for goods and services. Why shouldn't they.
Then we can fund universal health care in perpetuity.
I still think the question CONUS should have asked themselves before embarking on a takeover of 16% of the economy, who IS going to pay for it. Even the US consumer is tapped out.
Good grief, Charlie Brown. Banksters getting knocked off, government drills resulting in real disasters, more government surveillance, not less, and in collusion with all major IT and telcos.
This conspiracy is getting hairy, grew legs, and is learning to walk.
On the other hand, economic hardship caused by the as yet unfixed GFC is resulting in civil unrest in far flung places of the globe.
Ponzi schemes tend to unravel quickly. This one has been centuries in the making, centered around monopoly of the world's natural resources.
"For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known." (1 Corinthians 13:12, ESV)
A lie as been perpetrated against humanity, and that is that man is a means unto himself, resulting in the most base sorts of behavior, and without compassion.
Government overthrows in the 20th century resulted in god rejecting totalitarian governments, in Russia, China, and elsewhere. When the masses aren't fed, due to corrupt government policies, they will revolt, and 15 dead in Kiev will pale by comparison.
Maybe Neil Young should write a song.
