taxIndengent, you are correct. The meddling statists accomplish two things through racial disparity, divide and conquer, and the destruction of the individual. Since we know the truth, then we know which god is working where. First the truth,

"Sanctify them in the truth; your [God's] word is truth." (John 17:17, ESV)

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy." (John 10:10a, ESV)

"In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Corinthians 4:4, ESV)

It's evident from the truth which god is working where and why. Conversely,

"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." (John 10:10b, ESV)

Therein lays our salvation.

"For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." (1 Corinthians 1:22-24, ESV)

2014 is shaping up to be quite a year between the forces of good and those of the wicked. It's a comfort to know which side you're on.

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." (Romans 10:9-10, ESV)

We live in a fallen world. The book of revelation talks about what is to come. From what are we saved, it is the wrath of God. Yet, this is an idiom of permission, meaning not attributing anything to the evil one, God has allowed this to happen, see #fallen #world to understand how we got here.

We, as individuals, and collectively, still have free will. So, what we do and the choices we make determine our own fate. While we cannot individually be held accountable for what is done collectively, or by directive, we have a duty and a responsibility to resist evil in all it's forms.

"for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7, ESV)

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." (Romans 8:37, ESV)

There is a clear bright line between good and evil, however, it can be difficult at times to distinguish what is God's will, our will, or the will of the wicked one. An accurate knowledge of the truth of God's word is generally sufficient to determine what may be seen as good, better, best from our perspective. It is always God's will that is best, his best, that will yield the the greatest profit, both now and for all of eternity. The critical determining factor is knowing the truth,

"So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:31-32, ESV)

"so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes." (Ephesians 4:14, ESV)

This is a call to all the saints,

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." (Ephesians 6:10-13, ESV)
